Barry Broadus named Chief Financial Officer of Dovel Technologies

McLean, VA, August 27, 2019 – Dovel Technologies, a leading expert to federal agencies that blends deep domain expertise and advanced technologies in the health IT, life sciences, and grants management markets, today announced Barry Broadus will join Dovel as the company’s newly-appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will work as part of the senior executive team in defining and executing the overall strategic direction and growth plans of the company. As CFO, Broadus will lead the company’s finance strategy and oversee the company’s financial operations.

Broadus joins Dovel with a wealth of experience serving professional services companies in the CFO role. He was most recently CFO with SRI International where he worked to restructure the CFO organization to better support the business functions and corporate goals of the company. He also served in the CFO role for Alion Science and Technology where he was intimately involved with the $750 million sale of the company to private investors. In his eight years with the company, he directed several organizational re-alignments and consolidation events among his financial oversight responsibilities.

“Financial discipline has been a huge contributor to our growth to date and at our current size, we need to take that oversight and strategy to the next level with the addition of a CFO to our executive team,”
said Paul Leslie, Dovel’s CEO. “We are thrilled to have Barry on board as his experience in M&A, private equity transactions, and management in the professional services space is exactly what we need going into our next phase of growth.”

With rapid and sustained growth over the last six years, Dovel has transitioned from a small business to a successful mid-tier enterprise with annual revenues of more than $200 million. In 2018, the company announced a partnership with Macquarie Capital as a way to more quickly advance their future growth plans.

“Dovel is at an exciting place in their move to become a major player in the mid-tier professional services market,” said Broadus. “I am excited to be part of such a thoughtful yet innovative team and look forward to helping the company achieve its financial goals to better support the delivery of solutions that meet the mission needs of customers today and into the future.”
