Dovel Technologies Awarded Contract for Enterprise Lifecycle Management Support

Dovel will continue its successful collaboration with the FDA supporting and evolving the Emergency Operation Network

McLean, VA September 19, 2012 – Dovel Technologies announced today they have been awarded the Enterprise System Life Cycle Management Support (ELM) for the Emergency Operation Network  Incident Management System (EON IMS) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dovel has been supporting EON IMS for the past six years.

EON IMS is a critical system in providing timely alerts and tracking resulting actions related with food and drug recalls. Over 900 users access the system as part of their surveillance and preparedness responsibilities to keep the U.S. food supply safe.

Through this contract, Dovel will fully support the FDA in maintaining the existing EON IMS application and provide full life-cycle support for system enhancements and new development including updates to the system to augment functionality. Enhanced capability will be added to the system to support the following offices and centers within the FDA Center for Food Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office for International Programs (OIP), and Coordinated Outbreak Response and Evaluation (CORE).

The contract is valued at approximately $11M for one base year plus four one year options. Dovel’s partner on this work is Learning Systems International (LSI).
