Dovel Technologies Earns CMMI Level 3 Appraisal

Recognition underlies ongoing commitment to quality processes

McLean, VA September 1, 2011 – Dovel Technologies, a leader in software application development and emerging information technology solutions, announced the company has been re-appraised at a Capability Model Maturity Integration (CMMI) Level 3 from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). Dovel has been a CMMI level 3 appraised company since 2008.

“Dovel Technologies has clearly established a strong organizational standard process and understands the big picture of continuous process improvement,” said Andy Felschow, CMMI Certified Lead Appraiser. “Over the past few years, through their world class quality initiative, they have demonstrated a reduction in defect density and continue to extend that philosophy to other aspects of business performance.”

A level 3 organization is classified as “defined” which means that the company has sets of policies and processes that are defined, documented, and consistently implemented across multiple projects. These standard processes are in place and used to establish repeatability and consistency of project performance across the organization.

“We, as a company, are committed to following strict guidelines to create the highest quality solutions for our customers,” commented Dov Levy, Chief Technologist, Dovel. “We are confident that we are producing and managing exceptional quality, repeatable solutions to our customers, and we will continue to seek out third party recognition of our efforts through SEI appraisals and our annual quality initiative review and report.”
