EDS: SOA as Strategic Offering for IT Outsourcer
EDS considers itself to be a long-term IT outsourcer and IT service provider, and places its Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) consulting work in that context. EDS leverages its deep knowledge of legacy systems to expand the solutions it can offer its outsourcing clients, and SOA is the best way to accomplish this goal.
Because of EDS’s legacy expertise, much of their interest and active projects center on exposing legacy data and functionality within an SOA. EDS offers SOA enablement of existing legacy assets that in many instances they are maintaining for their clients.
