Unfortunate news, looking forward
For the first time in ZapThink’s six-year history, we’re not sending out our regular biweekly ZapFlash newsletter, due to unforeseen circumstances. Last week, my colleague Ron Schmelzer was struck by a car as he crossed the street. Fortunately, he is going to be fine, and we expect him to make a full recovery!
He did break a leg, an arm, and a cheekbone, so he’ll be laid up for a while. He’s due for a bit of rehab, but he should be back to his email in the next week or two, and we expect him to be back to work in May and able to travel again in June.
I visited him in the hospital yesterday, and he wanted me to pass along that ZapThink is still open for business! Alex and I are here, and we’re continuing to meet the needs of our clients as usual.
If you’d like to do something for him, a great suggestion would be to buy our book, Service Orient or Be Doomed! Those of you who know Ron will recognize this suggestion as squarely within character 😉
For those of you who would prefer a more traditional option, please feel free to send a card to Ron at our new office address:
108 Woodlawn Road
Baltimore MD 21210
But even if you send a card, you might still want to pick up a copy of the book as well!
Our ZapFlash will be back in two weeks, but in the meantime, please let either Alex or myself know if there’s anything we can do to help you make the most out of Service-Oriented Architecture.
