Sudhakar Kesavan brings more than 30 years of experience in building and scaling high performance companies. He advises Dovel on its vision and strategic plan to drive innovation, customer success, and employee growth. His experience is invaluable as Dovel continues to grow in current and new federal health and civilian markets.
Kesavan previously served as ICF’s Chairman and CEO during which time, he led the company through an IPO; expanded operations globally; completed more than 20 acquisitions; and doubled its revenue every five years for the last 20 years, growing from $100 million in revenue and 550 employees in 1999 to $1.5 billion and 7,000 employees in 2020. Kesavan also led the effort for ICF to become the first professional services firm in the world to go carbon neutral. In addition, Kesavan serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at ABM (NYSE: ABM), as well as on the Board of Trustees for the non-profit Inova Health System in Northern Virginia and the External Advisory Board of the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Kesavan has been named a “Tech Titan” and “industry leader” by Washingtonian Magazine and was inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame in 2014. In 2009, he was named “Executive of the Year” by the Professional Services Council (PSC).
Kesavan holds a Master of Science degree from the Technology and Policy Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a postgraduate diploma in management (equivalent to a Master of Business Administration) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Technology degree (chemical engineering with distinction) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIT Kanpur in 2010.
