Stopping Cancer Before it Starts

For the past several years Dovel has proudly supported the Prevent Cancer 5K. This annual event is hosted by the Prevent Cancer Foundation®, one of the nation’s leading voluntary health organizations and the only U.S. nonprofit organization solely focused on cancer prevention and early detection.

This year, Dovel again brought home the prize for largest team with 63 registered participants. This group worked to raise over $4000, the third largest amount raised by a team. We were presented with the award for largest team by the largest human we have ever met, honorary co-chair and former NBA star Gheorghe Muresan.

“Being able to participate in an event like this with our team is fulfilling on so many levels,” commented Dovel co-Founder, Elma Levy. “So many of us have been impacted by cancer in our personal lives and each day we work side by side with government organizations involved in developing cancer research, cures, and treatments, making this a cause everyone really rallies around.”
